May 2007, Law Article - Consumer Privacy, National Security and the Global Firm - This article argues discusses some of the security risks that have emerged do to changes in technology and globalization. The article argues that the time is right for comprehensive federal privacy legislation to harmonize with European law and create a model for the rest of the world. May 2007, Law Article - Does Google Book Search Violate Copyright Law? - This article assesses Google's Book Search project from a legal and policy perspective. I argue that Google Book Search should not constitute copyright infringement. May 2007, Law Article - Drafting the LLC Operating Agreement for a Software Vendor - This paper discusses some of the issues that should be taken into consideration when drafting an operating agreement for a small, technology LLC formed by ten computer programmers for the purpose of creating and selling software products. June 2006, Law Article - Information Privacy and the Modern Global Firm - This article discusses the emergence of three technology trends - adoption of SOA, adoption of BPM, and movement toward BPO - and argues in favor of a comprehensive scheme of federal privacy. January 2006, Law Article - Google Book Search, BitTorrent and Copyright Law - Do Google Book Search and BitTorrent violate copyright law? An indepth look at MGM v. Grokster and the latest Supreme Court decisions are analyzed in this article assessing the legal efficacy of these new technologies. May 2005, Law Article - A Critique of Brand X v. FCC - This article analyzes the courts application of the Telecommunications Act in Brand X v. FCC. I find that the holding in Brand X was based on a misapplication of the law in all three published opinions. Moreover, the holding was contrary to the original purpose of the Telecommunications Act of stimulating competition and reducing barriers to entry in these markets. |

Thomas Jefferson High School
I attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) located in Alexandria, Virginia for my sophomore through senior years of high school. TJHSST is a magnet school that consistently ranks as one of the top public high schools in the nation.
